Many people want to know what football players eat to stay fit and healthy. All the posh and fancy tableware they have in their kitchen, do they ever get used or do they have their own butler to do the cooking for them? Their salary is probably the biggest out of all sports, from clubs and endorcements. Having saying that there are few footballers who can cook for themselves and love doing so but what do the others do who cannot cook?
Every single football player has to eat healthy food to stay fit. Their body needs refuelling after a heavy workout in the field. All body parts wll need refuelling after a heavy workout in training or gym. They need combination of minerals, vitamins, fat and proteins to heal micro tears from exercise.
Most footballers like to drink protein shakes and eat seafood, because it contains protein after any sort of exercise. Seafood like salmon and tuna is good for repairing tendons, ligaments and bones. They also provide protein. It also rebuilds muscles after a run. White meat is normally recommended to eat than red meat as it provides more protein to the body.
Nutritionists advise footballers to have some carbohydrates too along with protein, as just protein is not good for the body. Human body needs to consume some carbs and fat. Not too much fat though some peanuts everyday is good to get fat in the body.
To be perfectly honest footballers can afford to eat out every day and they can choose healthy diet and don’t have to worry about cooking it. Most of them have chef as I mentioned earlier who prepare the food for them. Football players like Robbie Fowler, David Beckham and Zinedine Zidane love cooking, so they make their own food, I guess they have time to do that now as two of them have retired. These three have massive kitchen in their home and all sorts of kitchen accessories needed for cooking.
Football players are not allowed to drink too much beer so they probably don’t have beer glasses at their homes.
