Serviced offices, also known sometimes as ‘business centres’ in the UK, are an extremely flexible and generally affordable solution to the problem of having dedicated office space. The cities with the highest number of serviced offices in the UK are Manchester and (as you might expect), London, although they’re currently popping up all over the UK.
Serviced offices will usually house numerous different companies, proving them with office space that’s usually full equipped with telephone and line, furniture, internet access, bathroom facilities and kitchen facilities. Most will also provide the use of receptionist, security team and general building support (including IT, cleaners, etc). Despite all of these things being provided, you’re business is still only charged whatever rent has been agreed, cutting your overheads dramatically. This means you don’t have the overheads connected with a more conventional office, whist still enjoying the same perks.
Serviced offices are great for small businesses as they allow an opportunity to grow without having to commit to a long term package, but they’re not only suitable for smaller companies. For bigger companies it can work extremely well if they’re after office space for a specific project, overflow or just employee training.
To give you an idea of the pricing range in any given City, you can use Google. So let’s take London for example, to get an idea of the price range, benefits and looks of serviced offices in London, search for serviced offices Soho, serviced offices Victoria and serviced offices Gatwick to have a good look through several of the best serviced offices available.
Serviced offices can be a very good solution for many businesses, but are especially suited to small businesses. A lot of people who run small businesses will do some from home, claiming they prefer it. However, home-based small businesses can only take you so far. You can’t hold client meetings at home, take on interns or present a genuine corporate image as long as you’re at home, whereas serviced offices offer you the option to do all of these things without having to make a large financial commitment.
