that amendment speaks to state rights; retaining its sovereignty, independence, etc. it has nothing to do with national healthcare. the states aren’t required to get involved in national healthcare.

This is something different.

Just saying that there are states who plan on resisting ObamaCare.

oh, okay. understood. but i really hope that the plan passes because i’m so sick of paying over $400 each month to kaiser permanente for health coverage.

I don’t agree with socialized healthcare at all. It’s a very bad idea. When the government gives you something, they will take something away. Nothing is free. The government is not my nanny, my father, my mother, uncle, brother, or my husband. We are all responsible for our own lives. America was built on free enterprise and capitalism, not government handouts. I think you should watch this video: /watch?v=q2jijuj1ysw
This healthcare bill has nothing to do with economic recovery.
August 6th, 2009 at 12:21 am
i believe that the day this bill is approved, my rates for health insurance will go down in cost a great deal. health insurance companies take advantage of guys like me who are self-insured and that’s truly unfair. no one is asking for ‘free’ health care. we want FAIR health care.

I don’t think you understand what you’re asking for. There is nothing FAIR about socialized healthcare. Obama promised change, and people are not getting the kind of change they expected. I tried to warn them, and most people wouldn’t listen. I’m trying to warn you and others about socialized healthcare. All people can think of is themselves; of “hope” and “change”, instead of where that change will lead them. $400/mo is a small price to pay for your freedom.

i disagree. he’s already changed the way the credit card industry can do business. he changed the way employers enforce sexism by making it law that women and men are paid the same rate. he’s done quite a bit in less than a year. he can’t change 8 years of republican destruction in under a year though. and i’d be free paying $50 a month healthcare. the fee has nothing to do with freedom. it’s ridiculous that i pay $400 while others i know pay $50 for the same plan, but on company benefits.

Did you watch that video?:

Obama is not much different from Hitler, Mao Tse Tung, and other communist leaders.
August 8th, 2009 at 3:27 pm
by your logic, regan and bush were no different from hitler, mao tse tung or others either if you go by the stories of people of color. it’s all perspective.

I’m sorry, but I don’t understand your comment.

I was talking to abovefilms. I couldn´t believe that he pays 400 Dollars each month… O.O
October 23rd, 2009 at 9:32 pm
you don’t have to believe it. my bank account sure does. unfortunately, kaiser can charge what it wants at the present time, and other companies are charging the same.

Health insurance is expensive, but the LONG TERM picture of what socialized medicine will bring to this country will cost ALOT more – in more ways that people can possibly imagine. All people can think of is “right now” and what’s good for ME. People are not looking at the BIG PICTURE! They have tunnel vision!
October 24th, 2009 at 7:53 am
I was just shocked. It is extremely high… WOW. I feel sorry for you…
October 24th, 2009 at 7:58 am
I know what you´re talking about. Here in germany people have voted for a two party who made a coalition. They just voted for them because they promised to decrease the taxes. Well guess what. They just want to decrease the taxes for companys ^^ and not for the citizens…. They have a budget of 24 billion € (Euro). The problem is that sooner or later they´ll have to increase the taxes and ALL of us will have to pay HIGHER taxes… Stupid people…

i feel sorry for me too. but there are millions of americans in my same boat. either you pay it (AND suffer with a high deductible) or gamble with having no coverage. i choose to pay. really hope that public option gets pushed through.
October 25th, 2009 at 11:11 am
Why so much? I mean you´re talking about health insurance right? We pay depending on our loan… O.o The more you earn the more you pay and the employee pays half of the insurance…
