People say that Las Vegas is a city that never sleeps. It is one of the best places to enjoy nightlife and its entertainment appeals to all tastes. There are many kinds of nightclubs and venues for shows aside from the casinos. There are live shows that draw the top acts in the world and there is something for all generations.
A number of nightclubs offer dancing after hours in elegant background. The Tryst nightclub at the Wynn Hotel has dance floors inside and outside, by the artificial lake and 100-foot waterfall. Different kinds of music like hip hop, pop hits and 1980s pop are being played by DJs.
The Rain nightclub at the Palms Hotel is known for its celebrity clientele and has three floors of waterbooths and cabanas. Clubbers dance to hip hop, house and trance music to state of the art lighting effects.
The city has built its reputation on gambling and presenting the best live performers in the world. Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra and Tom Jones are some of the headliners that made Las Vegas entertainment so special. Today’s acts include Celine Dion, Barry Manilow, Wayne Newton and Bette Midler.
You can also find shows for all the family like the magic acts of David Copperfield. Popular tribute acts are also doing well here like tribute Elvis, Beatles, Barbra Streisand and Neil Diamond. And who can ever forget the very entertaining comedy shows and the wonderful spectacular of the Cirque du Soleil.
The Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino is the host for the hit musical, Mamma Mia, a must for all fans of Abba songs. The Wynn Hotel and Casino presents Spamalot, the show based on Monty Python and the Holy Grail, written by Python member, Eric Idle. This follows a successful run of the show on Broadway. John O’Hurley plays the lead role of King Arthur on a stage, specially constructed for this production.
For lovers of 1950s music, there is a show that features three of the most well known singing groups of that era. Las Vegas Entertainment doo wop style features the Platters, Cornell Gunther’s Coasters and Beary Hobb’s Drifters. More contemporary music is provided by Toni Braxton at The Flamingo.
V-the Ultimate Variety Show is an ideal outing for families with young children. The acts include hand balancing acrobatics, jugglers, unicycling basketball and comedy. This show can also be part of a dinner package. Dinner Shows are very popular, providing great food as well as Las Vegas entertainment.
One of the most successful of these is the tribute to the Rat Pack, featuring tribute Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and Joey Bishop. A tribute Marilyn Monroe provides the female interest.
